Unscripted Casting Tip Sheet

ROC Resource: Everyone is impacted by climate change. This tip sheet provides advice for how to expand thinking about talent-climate relationships. Share with casting teams for use during casting and talent/story producers in pre-production and production.

BBC Sustainability Topics

Third-Party Resource: A comprehensive, searchable guide divided into six sections that covers climate change, nature and biodiversity topics. Best used for research and development, and potentially in pre-production and post-production.

ROC Resource: General sustainability declaration for a production. Edit and adapt to your show. Share with the entire crew within their onboarding materials at the beginning of a production.

Production Dept. Head Memo

ROC Resource: More tailored production sustainability advice that may not be relevant for the whole crew. Edit and adapt for your show. At the start of a production, share with crew department heads so they can use their expertise to think and act more sustainably.

SEA Vendor Database

Third-Party Resource: The Sustainable Entertainment Alliance maintains a production vendor database that can be organized by region and type of service, including things like software, recycling and compost, sound, vehicles, electric, and many more. Share with EIC, Line Producer, department heads.

GPG Resource Library

Third-Party Resource: Green Production Guide library of memos, flyers and signage that you can print and use on set.

Plant Based by Default

Third-Party Resource: Straightforward guide from the Better Food Foundation on how to lower the emissions of a production (or any catered event). Share with vendors, caterers, or anybody making decisions about food early in the process.

Green Production Guide

Third-Party Resource: The Green Production Guide includes a suite of tools created by studios and industry professionals, including PEAR carbon calculator, PLUM plywood tracking, and PEACH best practices checklist. A version of PEACH tailored to unscripted is currently in development.
